Tax Seminar

Due to increasing requests from Christians (even from yet-to-be Christians) to help them with their BIR transactions, FOCIG decided to hold a Tax Seminar on November 9, 2022, from 1:00 to 5:00 P.M. on the 9^th floor of the NFA Bldg. along Visayas Avenue. (The venue was through the kindness of Atty. Judy Dansal, NFA Administrator.)

These business people were sick and tired of corruption and just wanted to pay the correct amount of taxes—nothing more, nothing less – without harassment! So, why not gather these business people and others to teach and equip them to avoid unnecessary harassment?

Well, out of 65 who registered, 57 showed up for the seminar with the theme, “Empowering and Aligning Businesses to God’s Righteousness.”

After Mr. Cris Gamboa gave an inspiring devotion and powerful testimony, ARTA Director General Ernesto Perez committed ARTA’s support to those who would encounter problems in any government agency.

Atty. Carlos Baniqued, tax expert and practitioner, founder & Of Counsel of the Baniqued and Bello Law Office, and part-time professor on taxation at the UP College of Law and Ateneo de Manila School of Law, delivered a powerful and relevant message on knowing your rights as taxpayers; how to deal wisely with Letter of Authority (LOAs); and learn legal compromise agreements. 

The impact? PRAISE GOD! They were blessed and have clamored for a Part 2 by 2023.
