SIXTY-NINE (69) PCMC TOP MANAGEMENT & MIDDLE MANAGERS GOT THEIR FIRST EXPERIENCE WITH A FOCIG SEMINAR

FOCIG conducted the Leading with Work-Life Balance Seminar to 69 medical and administrative senior officers (top management, division heads, department managers, and section heads) of the Philippine Children’s Medical Center (PCMC) on March 8, 15, & 22, 2023. Since FOCIG is an Accredited Learning and Development Institution (ALDI), this particular seminar garnered for them 12-hour leadership training hours from the Civil Service Commission (CSC). This group is the 1^st batch of a year-long Intentional and Balanced Leadership Program for all PCMC personnel, with other seminars lined up for 2023.

PCMC Executive Director Sonia B. Gonzales, MD, opened the seminar with inspiring words and for the closing, Deputy Executive Director Cecilia Gan, MD, gave a challenge to all the participants based on the Resolution from the “COURAGEOUS” movie. After each lecture, the participants had lively discussion groups led by facilitators from FOCIG and the Integrity Circle.

Evaluation results showed that majority found the seminar relevant, useful, and practical. They also rated the speakers and facilitators as excellent. To cap off the seminar, the Gospel was shared and 38 of them decided to get connected with God and establish a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Seven (7) want to be mentored in a small group and 33 recommended the seminar to be conducted to other units.

This is a break from the routine; refocusing our lives towards the author of love and life. As we align our lives to His plans and will, then everything will be in placed in the right perspective.
