PUBLIC SERVICE VALUES PROGRAM FOR BSWM

FOCIG conducted the Public Service Values Seminar for 79 mostly supervisory personnel of the Bureau of Soils and Water Management, an agency under the Department of Agriculture on June 15, 2023. The Public Service Values Program (PSVP) is an 8-hour leadership training focused on the basic values of Patriotism, Integrity, Excellence, and Spirituality, which are being promoted by the Civil Service Commission (CSC). The seminar was conducted by no other than Mr. Arthur Luis P. Florentin, the proponent of the PSVP, former Executive Director of the Civil Service Institute. The participants had lively discussion groups led by FOCIG facilitators after every topic.

Almost all who submitted their evaluation forms found the seminar relevant, useful, and practical. They rated Mr. Florentin as an excellent speaker and the small group facilitators were also appreciated. All facilitators presented the Gospel during their small group discussions. As a result, 20 indicated in their evaluation forms that they decided to get connected with God and establish a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Praise God!

Moreover, BSWM Director Gina P. Nilo is now proposing that other modules under FOCIG’s Intentional and Balanced Leadership Program be scheduled for all BSWM employees. And since FOCIG is an Accredited Learning Development Institution of CSC, the training hours from FOCIG Seminars will be reflected in the participants’ resumes.

Below are some of the comments of the participants:

Thank you for bringing this activity in our office. It is very important in the government service.

Thank you for imparting values to us.

I will share Patriotism, Integrity, Excellence, and Spirituality with our rank and file (employees).
