Intentional and Balanced Leadership (IBL) Modules for NPTI Regional Training Center 12 in General Santos City

FOCIG conducted its Intentional and Balanced Leadership (IBL) Modules “Leading with Work-Life Balance” and “Mentoring Leadership” seminars for RTC 12 in General Santos City on January 24-25, 2024 to thirty-nine (39) police officers and staff of the training center and police officers from the PNP Regional Medical Dental Unit 12. Three pastors from the Bless Our Cops Movement also joined the seminars.

Led by RTC 12 Director Police Col. Michael A. Cruz, almost all the participants lauded the seminars’ relevance, usefulness, and practicality. They also rated the activities and teaching methods  appropriate and effective. All respondents to the evaluation form rated the seminar speakers and small group facilitators as very good to excellent. Thirty-nine (39) suggested that the seminars be conducted also to other police units.

Praise God that when the Gospel was shared towards the end of the seminar, twenty-seven (27) indicated that they established a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, while twelve (12) said that they have done so previously. Let us pray that the three pastors will be able to follow them up.

Some comments and feedback from the participants:

  • This kind of seminar helps us to realize our shortcomings, both in our personal lives and profession.
  • It is very helpful to all government employees and in the PNP service with lack of time for the family. it improves knowledge about parenting that can help our society to become a better community and closer to God.
  • The seminar helped me to realize the many things I’ve missed in being real to my family. The seminar is a very good reflection.
  • The seminar conducted was very informative in terms of parenting, leadership, and faith in God. An opener to those who have lost their faith and trust in God and as a motivation for change to a better person.
  • I wish these topics will be discussed to the youth. Our youth today has been bombarded with a negative environment. I am certain this topic is so impactful and it must be replicated in a larger scale.
