Intentional and Balanced Leadership (IBL) Modules for NPTI Regional Training Center 11 in Davao City

On September 27-28, 2023, the FOCIG team conducted the “Leading with Work-Life Balance” and “Mentoring Leadership” seminars to sixty (60) police officers and staff of RTC11. This was under the leadership of PCol. Marvin A. Fontalva .

Almost all of the participants evaluated the seminars as useful, relevant, and practical. They also said that the  teaching methods and activities were appropriate and effective. The speakers and small group facilitators they rated as excellent. Thus, 57 of the attendees recommended that the seminars be conducted to other police units. 

Gratifying for the team was that 43 of the participants said that they had established a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Pastor Johnny Pabia, a local pastor, joined to observe and make sure that they would be followed-up.

Below are some comments and feedback from the participants:

• The content presentations are all specific, vital, and necessary particularly to give answers to the doubts of becoming a good parent and how to establish a good relationship with our children.
• The seminar was very interesting, useful especially to us men in uniform who don’t have control when it comes to going home every day to our families. The seminar was very relevant also for us on how we handle our time with our family and with our job. Family is everything that is why we should manage our time wisely as a father, husband, and police officer.
• Hope it will be incorporated in our program of instructions so that all police officers that will undergo schooling whether new entries or taking up leadership courses will hear the good news of our Lord for the benefit of ourselves, families, and units. 
• Thank you ma’ams and sirs for this opportunity. With this seminar, I have many realizations and have learned new things about God, family, and leadership. I really appreciate your efforts in sharing such good things and I hope that you can share to more people who need it most.

• This seminar is so timely! This is one of a kind seminar that police officers need. I’ve heard during the lecture that this will be incorporated in the program of instruction. It’s a great decision.
• The seminar helped me understand my relationship with God better. This seminar also helped me realize how to live my life without regrets and with contentment.
