Leadership Seminars for National Police Training Institute (NPTI)

From Luzon to the Visayas, FOCIG continues to reach out to the NPTI Training Centers by conducting the Intentional and Balanced Leadership Program, particularly the Leading with Work-Life Balance Seminar and Mentoring Leadership Seminar, to thirty-four (34) police officers and staff of RTC 7 last June 22-23, 2023. Eight (8) officers from the PNP Health Service also joined.   

Almost all the participants expressed that they found the seminar relevant, useful, and practical. They appreciated the teaching methods used as appropriate and effective for learning. They also gave a rating of excellent for the speakers and facilitators. A majority suggested that the seminar be done to all police units all over the country.

Towards the end of the two-day seminar, the Gospel was shared and the participants were encouraged to connect with God and establish a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Thirty-two (32) responded positively, based on the evaluation forms submitted. Additionally, five (5) PNP trainees were also shared the Gospel and they also got connected with God through Jesus Christ.

Below are some of the comments and feedback from the participants:

•   The seminar was very helpful in many ways for all of us.  It also catered to any one whether married or single.  All the discussions were relevant to our lives, to our decision making, to our faith, to our work and to our personal growth. 

•   This seminar has changed me.  It taught me to put God first and make Him the center of what I want to be and want to do especially in my work.

•   This seminar has given me courage in renewing my devotion with God.  It is truly a great challenge for all of us to be desirable and just and this seminar has encouraged each one of us to be a better person.

•   It gave me more learnings of what being a mentor and leadership are in work and in my family.

•   I hope that this kind of activity will continue and all the PNP personnel will have the chance to attend such activity for us to do our work well, to be aligned with God, and to continue being instruments in transforming our personnel to be good leaders.

•   This seminar should be conducted to those PNP personnel who have committed and found guilty of offenses involving breach of internal discipline to give them moral recovery.

•   This seminar is very helpful at the present especially to all PNP members who are no longer committed to their job and doing illegal activities, which tarnishes and taints the organization’s over-all performance.
