FOCIG SEMINARS REACH FIFTY-FOUR (54) MORE SENIOR OFFICIALS OF THE NATIONAL POLICE TRAINING INSTITUTE (NPTI) IN TWO DAYS!

In line with its Intentional and Balanced Leadership Program, FOCIG conducted the Leading with Work-Life Balance and Mentoring Leadership Seminars for 54 Senior Officers from the Headquarters and Regions 3 and 4 of the Philippine National Police NPTI at Camp BGen.Vicente P. Lim in Calamba, Laguna on March 16 &17, 2023. The seminars are equivalent to 16 hours of leadership training accredited by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) since FOCIG is an Accredited Learning and Development Institution (ALDI).

NPTI Director, Police Major General Ritchie Medardo A. Posadas, initiated the program and said, “I’d want to inculcate good values, principles, and practices to PNP trainees and schoolers, especially those who will be joining the police service at an early stage in their lives and to make them quality, disciplined, and God-fearing policemen and policewomen that are expected by the Filipino people”.

Praise God that the participants found the seminar relevant, useful, and practical; the teaching style, appropriate and effective. The Gospel was shared towards the end of the 2-day training and 30 participants decided to get connected with God and establish a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Sixteen (16) want to be mentored in a small group; 13 expressed their need for counseling; 38  recommend the seminar to be conducted to other units.

• I respectfully suggest that this seminar will also be given to those in position of power or decision-maker.
• I recommend this seminar to be conducted to other units especially in battalions or police stations even in the mandatory course of PNP.
• This seminar is really helpful to me as a parent.  This made me realize that my work and family should be balanced.
• I appreciate the topics and I learned a lot.  They are very helpful for my future parenting.
• I find this seminar beneficial to my family and myself.  I learned how to enhance and establish my relationship with my subordinates and try harder with God’s help.
• This seminar must be included in the Basic Recruit Course and mandatory courses program of instruction.
• The lecture should be cascaded to all PNP units and training centers.
• I recommend this seminar to police officers who have administrative cases so that they may correct their lapses/mistakes.  This would be a nice intervention for them.
